I cannot believe my wedding is just six months away! There is so much to do between now and then. Seriously, planning a wedding is no joke, especially when there are so many other things going on at the same time. However, in the midst of all the vendor meetings, personal training sessions, home renovations, and trying to maintain somewhat of a social life, I knew I couldn’t let my fitness routine slip now. That’s why I created the perfect wedding workout plan for myself: a fitness challenge. And you can join me!
Ok, so the truth is, I would be doing this challenge even if my wedding wasn’t coming up. It’s an annual thing. BUT, it just so happens to also be the perfect time to keep myself accountable leading up to my wedding day because I really do want to feel my best in October.
The 4-week Spring #ALFitChallenge starts May 3rd, and it’s the perfect way to jump-start your routine and start crushing your fitness goals. Whether you have an important event coming up, want to feel your best for the summer, or just want to push yourself to live a healthier lifestyle, this challenge is going to be awesome. The Spring #ALFitChallenge Turned My Wedding Workout Plan (or is it the other way around?)
When I was designing my wedding workout plan, I thought about what I needed to stay consistent with the program and get the results I wanted. I realized that everything I was looking for is already included in my Spring #ALFitChallenge. It is the perfect way to start prepping for my wedding.
1. At-Home Workouts That You Can Do Anywhere
The Spring Challenge is perfect if you don’t have the time, ability, or desire to leave home and go to the gym. While you can do the workouts anywhere, you don’t have to leave your house to get an effective workout in. Plus, they don’t take hours! In fact, every workout is just 20-45 minutes long. This is perfect for me right now because wedding planning takes up a lot of my time! Sometimes it feels like another full-time job. So being able to get a super-efficient workout done in less than an hour is extremely important. And I know it probably is for you too.
If you have kids at home or back-to-back meetings all day, it can be hard to find even a few minutes of free time to exercise. But it’s so important to take care of your body and make your health a priority. That’s what makes this challenge so unique. You can squeeze your workout in between meetings. Plus, you don’t have to worry about finding childcare for a few minutes of “you time.” You can do this challenge from anywhere, whenever works best for you!
2. Planned Workouts That You Can Do Anytime
It’s crazy… some days are so jam-packed with meetings and prep work for my wedding, my clients, and my other projects that there just doesn’t seem to be enough hours in the day. That’s why when it comes to my wedding workout plan, I needed something flexible, which makes the #ALFitChallenge perfect. 100% of the workouts are planned for you and can be done at any time. Even as a professional fitness coach, there are days I am just not motivated to workout. 4. New Exercises That Are Never the Same
We all lose motivation sometimes. But it disappears even faster when a fitness challenge is simply you doing the same exact workouts week after week. Boring! I knew if I was going to stay excited about my wedding workout plan from now until October, it needed to be challenging, fun, and effective. And that is exactly what the #ALFitChallenge is.
You will never do the same workout twice. (Though if you really love one of them, you can always go back and repeat it later.) The fitness challenge is designed to keep your body guessing by switching up the exercises for fat-burning sessions that burn calories fast.
This is achieved by a combination of upper and lower body strength training, HIIT (high-intensity interval training), and AMRAP (as many reps/rounds as possible) workouts. Not only will you not get bored mentally, but physically, your body will not know what hit it. While overnight results aren’t realistic, this style of training does produce amazing results. And the results come much faster than traditional weight training or a cardio-only fitness program.
